To understand this section, a knowledge of written music is very helpful. In the above two images, the individual I Ching Trigrams are associated with two notes, each an octave apart. This is only to balance the Upper and Lower Registers. In all other circumstances, each Trigram represents one note only.
Two Octaves of Trigrams
The Piano Keyboard on the right, shows that Middle C as the Beginning, First Alpha Note of the Upper Octave, and it is also the Ending, Last Omega Note of the Lower Octave, or the other way around! Naturally, Biblical Scripture can be interpreted on many different levels and in many different contexts. This concept brings additional meaning to the Bible verse:
"I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End" Rev.22:13.

The relationship between the 12 Musical Keys and the 12 Zodiac Signs is more fully discussed in the Zodiac section.
