Jing Fang was a very interesting person. We are very fortunate that any of his work still exists. His 8x8 square of hexagrams contains parts of at least four different Magic Squares. Here is the first one, Jing Fang’s Magic Square A, is based on the eight pairs of hexagrams found in Jing Fang A. The
remaining 48 were paired and arranged to fit the first 16 hexagrams. The other squares are yet to be discovered, and it will take quite a while. This particular Magic Square however, is particularly beautiful.
